First Crazy Storm

The title of this blog has a double meaning. The past two days have been full days of lectures and training. This is great because with each lesson I feel more equipped to instruct a class. The other day I caught my family in a skype session and my brother was home! Him and his friends were over and it brought tears to my eyes to be able to see them and just sit with them on skype! PTL for technology! The father knows just what we need and I needed to hear and see my family! That night me and a group of other teachers went to get smoothies (our fav) and got trapped in a HUGE thunderstorm. A disgusting, scary, sudden downpour of acidic rain. YUCK. We decided to try and wait it out with all the locals in the Wu-mart. But eventually we had to leave because we had a meeting to get too. Some of the girls pulled up their pants and we made a beeline for the hotel. Unfortunately when it rains here it pours! The streets were filled with a foot high of disgusting sewer water and as we ran we became drenched. What a nightmare. It was absolutely disgusting. But as I made it to my room and was able to find a warm change of clothes... I couldn't help but get cheesy. I realized that in life's storms we may get caught out in the middle (Away from safety) and we may have to brave it out, get wet, dirty, scared knowing all the while where and how to get to safety. Eventually the father sees us through and we arrive to His arms of safety. I hope you are all doing well! Yesterday we went to the Great Wall and I will post about that later!! Awesome experience! Internet is a bit shakey here so can't always get on! Love Love Love Rev 22:17
