Throughout my life, I have always felt called to serve the nations. I have had a passion to immerse myself in other cultures by living, and learning among them. Well, this year the Father has challenged me with two thoughts: that my life is not my own, and that He has been preparing me to step out in faith. In April, I was involved in a car accident where I was miraculously unharmed. He made it abundantly clear He has a divine purpose for my life and my passions. And now that I am a recent college graduate, I finally have the opportunity to step out in faith and pursue those passions. I have been called to teach English in China! The decision process was nothing short of a miracle. There were doubts, fears, and relationships that crossed my mind as I thought about this opportunity. However, the Father divinely intervened- Praise Him! He challenged me with a sermon in church on stepping out in faith, the laying on of hands in prayer by my college group, multiple conversations with sisters in Christ, and the constant prayer, "Father, I give my life to you- asking that you make something beautiful out of me". The accident bound all these divine appointments into one clear call: "Step out of the safe boat, and follow me Daughter". Teaching in Changchun is my opportunity to step out and follow Him into the world. I am excited and feel blessed to receive the calling to share with the Chinese people a Hope that is faithful and will not disappoint!
