As I am sitting here reading and writing frantically for my assignments due tomorrow, I find a moment to pause and enjoy a lesson from one of the books. As Cs we have the perfect example of love and sacrifice in the greatest miracle of all "J C, who, though he was in the form of G, did not regard equality with G as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking on the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death-even death on a cross" Philippians 2:5-8. This summer I have been going through the process of sanctification, specifically regarding what love is and how to love as J loved. J loved selflessly. He never worried about his desire for others to love him back or to love him in the way he loved them. Rather, he just gave and gave. Gave his heart, his body, his intellect, his power, his grace, his mercy, his love, his holiness, and ultimately His blood. I pray that I will give to those He puts in my life the same way He gave to me. I want to love selflessly. I pray for a love for those I will come in contact with that will only be attributable to the Father. I pray for a love for those I leave at home- that though miles will separate us, I will still remain faithful to serving and displaying my love for them.
