Despite the abnormal and blistering "hot" 19 degree weather today, I am officially on my way south for the winter! Just like the geese who fly south in v's, I will be flying south in a group of five! I'm excited to be spending a couple weeks backpacking through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand in hopes of new experiences and unexpected adventure. It will also be a great time of restoration and processing the past semester. I will have one week where I will be attending a conference held by the organization I serve with. The Conference is a annual highlight for most, where servers that are placed throughout Asia will come together to celebrate the harvest of the year. We will be refreshed with live worship, fellowship, the Word and relaxation time! I am also blessed to be able to spend one week with my parents who will be flying out to meet me in Phucket, Thailand. This wonderful blessing will give me a much needed dose of home, love and encouragement as I persevere and thrive next semester!
As my group travels (and my parents), please be lifting up safety as there have been some recent safety concerns developing in Bangkok. Also, please be lifting up our organization as the harvest workers here in Asia take time to be poured into as we come away with our Father to rest and be filled in His arms! I will be able to access e-mail so please keep in touch: courtney.dixon@elic.org !
With Love and Blessings,
Courtney
